This is a very funny book. It is also a fascinating take on first reactions by one of this country's preeminent psychiatrists. Very rarely does a book come along that opens the mind to a new way of perceiving. About the Author
Jerry Jampolsky, M.D., a graduate of Stanford University, is a child and adult psychiatrist. He is the founder of Attitudinal Healing International with independent centers and groups in dozens of countries on five continents. Dr. Jampolsky and his wife Diane Cirincione-Jampolsky, Ph.D., are recipients of numerous awards and have worked, taught and lectured in 58 countries. Dr. Jampolsky passionately believes that we can learn to let the innocent, joyful child within us come out and play each day. He is committed to doing his best to live in a consciousness of giving, and making forgiveness and love a way of life. How to Remove Toxic Thoughts From Our Mind

The usage of particular words in Dr. Jampolsky's new book can either create curiosity or the opposite. The reason for me was curiosity. The style of writing appears to trigger a kind of shock treatment for the reader. However, I did smile often with the humor that is woven throughout the book and yet, this book is like no other I have ever read! We must not let a "cloud cast a shadow" over the author's major point in his book - each of us needs to take responsibility for our own thoughts and feelings and "Stop Blaming Other People". It is we ourselves who fill our mind with toxic thoughts which then affect one's health and well-being.
Am I glad I purchased this book? I certainly am! I needed this "shock treatment" at this point in time.

I love this book

Insightful like all Jampolsky's work. He always gives us a different refreshing perspective on everything he writes about. An invaluable read. Takes away all the S**T & shows us our true authentic nature. A must read.
